The Adelson Educational Campus has changed focus and has decided not to renew my contract. I am now focusing on finishing up a few projects to add to my portfolio site and am also in the process of re-designing my portfolio site using some great tools I’m just starting to learn.

I am going to be creating different versions of my site using wordpress, Joomla, and hand coding as I usually do. I’m looking into other programs/systems to learn and format more versions of my site to them.If you have any suggestions or favorite programs you use please let me know and leave a comment here.

I feel that by re-creating my site using these different formats it will showcase my flexability as a designer and coder. It also allows me to learn these new tools and possibly help me with future projects with my new found skills. 

In the mean time there may be times when my site will go down for a few minutes or I will be changing parts of it and it may break but keep checking back and I will post when it’s finished!

I’ve recently been hired by the Adelson Campus to work on their website. Eventually I will get to re-design the entire site but for now it’s just little pieces. I was working on an admissions form but that has been set aside for the moment and I am working on their calendar that is currently on the site. That’s about all for now. I hope to have some work to post soon.

I’ve been running around since the beginning of the year, lots of stuff happening. 

First my grandpa died, I will miss him but he’s not suffering anymore so it’s better this way. After spending some time with my family I have re-designed my website and I’ve been working on new layout design concepts and am currently working on a photography gallery site for my friend John and an artist portfolio site for Nicole. Thanks to my classmate Tyler recommending me to his co-worker, I was able to tutor his co-worker in Dreamweaver and Photoshop. I guided him through the basics of creating a simple page in Dreamweaver while being mindful of image sizes, extensability and flash integration. We also went over using the slice tool in Photoshop to make a very simple page out of a single image (not that I recommend that for many uses). We plan on a second session to go over creating the flash components and how to smoothly integrate them to the site. Overall a succeful session. I’m thinking of offering my tutoring services for people around the henderson area

Next up for project TNT is an animated logo. I think instead of using flash I’m just going to make an animated GIF. This way her clientele will be able to see it without having to download flash player. Also if they are unable to view animated Gifs it will default to a static logo so they will always see the logo.

I decided to create a blog that will keep eveyone updated on what projects I am currently working on and a place where my clients can leave comments and contact me outside of just email.

I’m going to be playing with the theme a bit so if it’s different every time you come back don’t be alarmed :). I’ve never made a wordpress theme so I might try to put one together if I can figure it out
